Verifying patient profiles in consultations

Explains how multiple patients can access care through one account holder, and how to confirm you are consulting with the correct patient.

About Maple profiles

A Maple account holder can add patient profiles to their account for every person for whom they have legal authority to make medical decisions (i.e. family members).

When requesting a consultation, the account holder must select a patient profile. In an active consultation, you will see both the account holder's name and the patient's name.

Please confirm you are speaking with the patient listed in the consultation and not another patient on the account. If the account holder didn't select the correct patient profile when requesting the consultation, please direct them to request a new consultation.

Identifying account holders and patients

On desktop, the account holder's name is displayed on the left-hand side, while the patient's name is shown on the right-hand side.

In the mobile app, the account holder's name is visible near the bottom of the screen, while the patient's name is visible near the top.
