Audio or Video Requirements
Updated over a week ago

Providers on Maple must be prepared to accept audio or video call requests in the following scenarios:

When a Patient Requests an Audio or Video Call

  • Maple consultations are advertised as being available via text, audio, or video and patients can request an audio or video consultation at any time.

  • If you are unable to conduct an audio or video call at a certain time, please set yourself as unavailable until you can accept these requests appropriately.

  • Refund Policy: If a patient requests a refund due to a refused audio or video call, provider payment may be revoked.

Publicly Billed Consultations

  • Some provincial health insurance plans require an audio or video consultation for billing eligibility.

  • Each province has specific requirements—please refer to our Publicly Covered Consultations article for details.

📌 Ensuring availability for audio/video consultations helps maintain patient expectations and compliance with public billing regulations.
