Understanding lab results
Updated over a week ago

This article pertains to lab results where you are the initial treating physician. To learn how to access lab results ordered by another physician through Maple, please see our Viewing lab results article.

Partial and completed results

In the Requisitions tab, results will be assigned a status:

  • Submitted: There are outstanding test results we have not yet received.

  • Completed: All results are uploaded and available

Lab result follow-up notifications

Once lab results have been uploaded to a patient’s completed consultation, our team will send a message to the patient with follow-up recommendations. In the case of urgent results, our team will call the patient within two hours of receiving the results.

Providers can view notes left by our Clinical Care admin team for any lab work that they’ve ordered. Each note will also list a number, which indicates the type and urgency of the follow-up messaging that the patient received.

The table below provides information on the notification patients will receive.
