In cases where the specialist referral feature is not enabled for a consultation, it is possible to upload a custom referral. If a user has submitted a request primarily for a referral, and the feature is not enabled, we recommend closing the visit without charge.
If a custom specialist referral is issued, you will be responsible for managing the results and all communications with the patient, including corresponding with the specialist clinic. Please include your office address and contact information on the form so the clinic can follow up with you directly. The Maple Admin team cannot process these referrals since they are not issued on our system.
