The codes in the predefined list will depend on the patient’s location. Public billing codes may not appear when the patient is located outside the province at the time of the consultation, or the consultation is otherwise ineligible for public billing.

In Ontario, OHIP billing codes may not appear if:

  • The patient or provider was located outside of Ontario at the time of the visit

  • The patient's health card could not be verified

For consultations that can't be billed to OHIP, you will still receive the Maple top-up payment. For full billing code and payment details, check out our help desk article here.
