Medications on the Monitored Drugs List should not be prescribed on Maple

Updated over a week ago

Since consultations on Maple don’t allow for an ongoing patient-provider relationship, controlled substances should not be prescribed on Maple.

To check if a medication is a controlled substance or monitored drug, we recommend cross referencing the Monitored Drugs List for Ontario. Ontario has the most conservative list of medications in Canada, so this is an appropriate guideline regardless of where the patient is located.

If you have prescribed a controlled medication to a patient on Maple and they are unable to fill the prescription, the consultation fee may be refunded, including your payment. Please contact our Customer Support team if you have any questions.
