Patient consent to virtual care
Updated over a week ago

When submitting a consultation request, patients are prompted to agree to our Consent to use Virtual Care statement (shown below). They will not be able to proceed with their request unless they agree to the statement.

This streamlined process for obtaining patient consent allows you to effortlessly focus on delivering exceptional care without the hassle of manually requesting consent.

The consent statement was written based on documentation provided by CMPA, CPSO, and Maple’s Medical Advisory Committee (MAC).

Note: Before this feature was introduced, healthcare providers were asked to share a patient consent document with patients at the beginning of each consultation. This is no longer required.
