When lab or diagnostic imaging (DI) results are received through Maple, a follow-up status is assigned by Maple’s Care Delivery Operations Team — including a group of independent third-party registered nurses (RNs) and physicians (CDO Contractors). This status guides patients on the appropriate next steps for their care and determines the notification message they receive through their Maple account.
In some cases, if a result is urgent, the CDO Contractors will also contact the patient directly by phone in addition to sending a message to their account.
Below is a breakdown of each follow-up status, the corresponding patient notification titles, and the exact messaging patients receive.
