The CMPA (for physicians) and CNPS (for nurse practitioners) may not provide adequate protection against medico-legal difficulties if you and/or the patient are temporarily outside of Canada during your consultation.

Our insurance policy offers malpractice protection for providers under specific conditions:

  • Providers temporarily outside Canada: Coverage is provided if you're seeing Canadian patients while you're temporarily outside of Canada (for 30 days or less).

  • Canadian patients temporarily outside Canada: Coverage extends to consultations with Canadian residents who are temporarily outside Canada.
